Road cycling is the simplest version of the sport to get into. You start by simply riding a bike on the road! 

To compete at road cycling you have two options: School and club. 

  • In terms 2 & 3, Auckland Schools Cycling (ASC) runs a series of team time trials (TTT) and a points race under College Sport. This is great if you're at a school that has a strong cycling programme, so you can have a team of 4 (junior) or 5 (senior) riders of similar ability to ride the TTT's. If not, you can enter by partnering with more»

  • If you want to get regular road racing you need to do it through a club. In Auckland, the only active road club is Counties Manukau Cycling (CMC). CMC runs road races, the Auckland time trial and road race championships and in 2024 is launching a teams event.
